August 2. Louisiana Champions Awards. REAP Benefit. Louisiana Stallion Stakes. D.S. "Shine Young" Futurity.

REAP is thrilled that the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders has graciously allowed us to hold our Annual Benefit in conjunction with Horse of the Year and Champions Ceremony on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Mojo's at Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino. The $100,000 Louisiana Stallion Stakes for three year old mares and fillies and the D.S. Shine Young for two year old fillies runs the same day.

Last year we had a very successful fundraiser in conjunction with the LTBA Awards and another with the Louisiana Stallion Stakes sponsored by Coteau Grove Farms. We are looking forward to another fun event.

The Mission of REAP (Racing Employees Assistance Program) is to provide relief to those of the  licensed member of the Evangeline Downs Racing Community and member of their families. Such relief will include, but not be limited to, financial assistance for medical care, food, housing, clothing and education, and services, such as counseling, care, emergency transportation, recreational activities and job placement and training. We also support the great work of our Chaplain Dwight Brown.

We invite you to participate again this year with us in servicing those in our industry that need our help. We also ask that you help us spread the news of the REAP events. The REAP - DAY AT THE RACES will be Friday, August 2, 2024 at Mojo’s at Evangeline Downs. We will have the Silent Auction and Reverse Drawing.  If you can help us collect a Silent Auction Item or would like to   Purchase a Reverse Drawing Tickets please let us know. We are looking forward to a great event to benefit our industry.

As a special treat the Coteau Grove Band will play at the event. If you missed them last year, you won't want to miss them this year.

This year we will have Signature Sponsorships available. This will give our supporters an easy way to participate in each part of the upcoming event at one time. We ask that you review the Signature Sponsorships, if there is someone you think would be interested in this please let us know. We have no problem tailoring a sponsorship to your interests.

Please contact one of the REAP Board Members if you have any questions. Again thank you for considering supporting REAP again.
